Workshop
Kickoff: Benchmark workshop costs - WB
Description
The issue of an "in-house workshop" often comes with significant uncertainties. On the one hand, there is the question of whether operating an in-house workshop is economically viable at all; on the other hand, those who run an in-house workshop face the problem of transparency and cost allocation.
In addition, the degree of professionalism and the potential scope of services in workshops varies greatly. Personnel matters and staffing weekend shifts in the workshop pose an additional challenge.
Against this background, ELVIS is establishing a new Benchmark council on the topic of workshop costs, which addresses the following questions:
- How much does an in-house workshop cost, and is operating it worthwhile?
- What is the benchmark for specific values related to the operation?
- How is the workshop organized?
- How can the costs of workshop services (hourly rates) be allocated to individual vehicles?
